Global Winter School 2009

We are really happy to inform you that from December 10th to 13th the EMGS Winter School will take place in the Polish Mountains.
The idea of a winter school was originated by EMGS students who recommended bringing together all first year students at an earlier stage than after the first completed year in order to create a common EMGS spirit from the very beginning and discuss the expectations students have in the Masters course and check which support can be provided by the consortium in this regard.
The costs for accommodation and breakfast and dinner are covered through the programme, nevertheless the travel costs as well as costs for lunch (approx.5 Euro/day) and drinks (in the bar) will need to be covered individually.
For the students from Wroclaw, Vienna and Leipzig the trip to the venue will be organised by your co-ordinator (and will be around 50 Euro for the return trip). You will be furnished with further information soon.
The participation is obligatory for all first year students. But in case you can for urgent reason not participate in the winter school, please inform the University of Leipzig at the latest by November, 15th.
The participation of the second year students is possible if there are still free beds in hotels (contact University of Wrocław), but the students would have to cover all costs on their own.
