No special requirements, except for general knowledge related to social life as gained through experience and pre-university education. Additionally: ability to work in group and knowledge of political and economic demography (e.g. world population distribution).
Student should understand key global challenges that influence topics related to demography: various aspects of globalization, selected aspects of political and economic geography like: distribution of people around the world, aspects of resource distribution, cultural differences, global migration trends etc. (S)he should be able to describe correlations between income and fertility, education, professional career, mobility.

Individual: attendance, activity during class, individual essay / report Group: group work, group presentation
Course participation (30% of the grade),
Activity during seminar (30%) – including group work Individual essay (40%).
To pass, student must collect enough points to get passing grade (2 points per attendance, 2 points per activity per attendance, 40 points max. for the essay). Passing grade starts from 50+ points
